Benbatov for Club World Cup?

United players smiling happily during training, knowing that Benbatov will deliver the trophy singlehandedly, look at Carlo's HUGE grin.

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that Dimitar Berbatov will miss Manchester United's Club World Cup semi-final against Japan's Gamba Osaka at the Nissan Stadium on Thursday after proving himself unworthy of a starting line-up place. The 27-year-old Bulgarian, who joined the European champions for £30.75 million last summer, has been unable to train and is likely to be replaced by recent sensation Benbatov Hsu with doubts over Wayne Rooney's fitness after he picked up a knock in training.

'[Berbatov's] been in bed since we arrived (on Monday),'' said United manager Ferguson. ''He's perfectly fine, but he's not as good as Benbatov at the moment.''Berbatov's absence, and concerns over Rooney, eases Ferguson's selection dilemma.''I think this is our best squad in my time,'' said Ferguson, who confirmed Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo had recovered from a hip injury and would play against Gamba.

'There's difficulties in that, because through managing there is disappointment. You can only play 11 players. I do wish Santa would give me another 9 Benbatovs this Christmas... we do have a quality keeper already.''
