New Year New Begining

Right.... This is the new year and guess that we are all off to a horrible start with the way our MLE lecturer are teaching being so "chui" that I guess I took 20 seconds each time to comprehend what he was saying with each sentence. To think we were complaining of last semester lecturers!!! OMG....

Anyway, we concluded the year 2 chalet and the 9 of January. Hope everyone had fun and we will get together in similar fashion soon maybe? We should give our thanks to Pris for helping us to book the chalet and also at such a low price, if not we would have been paying horrendous prices for chalet...

So updates for the week!!! The year 2s will be having a floorball session this thursday 15 Jan at 2pm, at MPSH, so those who are free are welcome to join in k. SMS Pris if she forgotten to message ur about the session k to register ur interest.

So that all for now.... Enjoy and happy studying!!!! Oh.... And Happy New Year in advance.....

Second Part of Night Cycling

Right here comes the second part of the "fateful" night.... After so long where I felt too lazy to do anything, it's time to make the pictures of the night available for all to see!!!
And cuz it is taking ages to upload the pictures, these pictures here will be those that are more memorable and not those that look "dumb"(though we think it was fun during the journey)...

And here was the photo we took before we left for Lau Pa Sat with one of our "injured" bike in tow. And we sure swear that we did nothing except hear that the tyre went "psssttttt" by itself....

Lau Pa Sat!! But we were tired and hungry and so food was the only thing on our mind. Right, and when we thought of taking photos of the wonderful stuff we had tasted, this was all that was left.... Paiseh... I noe Hungry Ghost Festival still far away leh...

And obviously, someone was more than happy to see the food that was on the table again!! Right???

Erm as per request... Photo is censored and deleted... So we are missing out on something great maybe??? Ambassador of the year for STB Tour Singapore 2009 maybe??? haha....

And these people were more than happy to take down more food once again gg by the amount of food on their table..

But while we were busy eating, others were busy in the ICU, trying to recover the injured bike before it had to make its way back on none other than the taxi!!! But glad to say that we managed to revive the bike and continue on our journey

And this is none other than the hero of the night...Without these, some of us wun be even in the photos since we would be hopelessly lost... And we could film Singapore version of "LOST"!!!

Finally, after the torturous journey through the Botanica Gardens, we reached the second last stop for the night or should we say day?? Mcdonalds at Serene Center, where we had our little Christmas gift exchange...

And here we have all the gifts for the night!!!!

Including this, where everyone guess correctly that it was given by Daniel!!!

And here we are at MacRitchie Reservoir, for our final rest... All the tired faces and hurting butts....

And just in case someone keep saying I always post the unglam shots of her, here is one of mine.... Results of gg night cycling?? Wanted and being in the poster at the bus stop... Right, this shows that night cycling cannot be joined.... haha....

Finally, the prata at Thomson Road.... Our final meal of the day?? or was it night to begin with.....

And the aftermath.... Waiting for the PMS uncle to come and collect back his "precious" bikes....

And here is the mastermind of the event, shagged out.....

That is all for Night Cycling.... Cya for the Yr 2 chalet k.... It is on the 8 and 9 of January.... So cya till then!!!!

MSE Night Cycling 08

Right, someone has to do the dirty job of posting all the photos onto the blog.... After this, I have to go into hiding cuz the people in the unglam photos inside are going to be coming after me with a vengence. Haha.... So here begins the eventful trip for that night!!! Enjoy...

So here we go!!! Why do they seems so happy? Right, cuz you are looking at the "conner" of the year... The person who managed to "conned" all of us into going for MSE Night Cycling 08!! "Codeword for the night: "Yesman".

Right what next? Of course it is to leave some form of memories so that people will remember that you once came for night cycling... So a "last" photo before we leave!!!

Guess what... After like ages and climbing of numerous overhead bridges, we manage to reach our first stop... Frog leg porridge at a place at Geylang... Right... Faint upon hearing the place.... But the food is absolutely superb and we din have to pay since MSE SIG proudly sponsor the meal!!!

Right, and here are all the hungry faces looking forward to the wonderful meal shown here!!!

And what is Meiting hiding from?? Not from my camera definitely, but from something!!! Well, I guess the picture says all? For more info can contact squid!!!

And after our meal at Geylang, we head on down to Lau Pa Sat, where we ended up having a break at the Esplanade cuz we horlan and split into two groups. So what is next in our night cycling?? Check back soon and I'll post the rest asap!!!!
:) thanks to all who organised these activities and a BIG thanks to all who came and supported us!

Exercise Nightrider was carried out on 21st December with our starting point at Bishan Park. There was a healthy mix of people from various years, a heartening sign for the organising folks. Everyone was punctual, well almost everyone, and we were ready to start on time if not for the sudden stunts from the uncle involving rear lights. The only exciting thing prior to our start was huikai hollanding even before the exercise had started.

The start took the troupe through long stretches of park connectors and overhead bridges down kallang to geylang where we had supper of frog leg porridge while watching triumphant vietnamese folks walk past us, where hours ago their vietnam had jus pawned our international contingent singapore team at the nearby kallang stadium. kudos to yong cheng for drawing enuff money and ryan for giving the nod so that we could have a free supper, courtesy of sig funds.

After which we carried on cycling to town and the flyer, apparently the half i followed missed the flyer stop, but the other group went to the flyer but hollanded on their way to the esplanade. amid the phototaking came the ultimate stunt of the day, darren's rear tire jus went flat by itself. witnesses claimed that all they heard was a sudden 'psssssssssttttttttttt'.

hours later, after the heroic tzer chew and co. finally managed to literally go out of the way to fit in a new tire for darren, we continued our ride along the outskirts of town down to serene centre where we had a long break, followed by our happening gift exchange. memorable gifts definitely have to include daniel's "world's best driver" gift which went to kai fen, and the pair who both received the same presents, a box of hersey's choc sticks!

the ride then turned time-trial, as we had to hurry down for breakfast 'cos of the morning fiasco and also due to the road activity picking up. squid left us for home at this point of time, and the rest cycled along lonely lornie road to macritchie where we a short break before gg down thomson for breakfast, at 5am, or was it 6?

having had prata at the prata hse, we finally headed back to bishan park, bringing an end to a memorable exercise that started with a saf-spoof notification msg, consisted of eating,sight-seeing,hands-on and time-trial segments and in line with the christmas spirit, ended with free taka shopping vouchers for those who did reply "YESman". alright, enuff words, someone upload photos. LOL!

Benbatov for Club World Cup?

United players smiling happily during training, knowing that Benbatov will deliver the trophy singlehandedly, look at Carlo's HUGE grin.

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that Dimitar Berbatov will miss Manchester United's Club World Cup semi-final against Japan's Gamba Osaka at the Nissan Stadium on Thursday after proving himself unworthy of a starting line-up place. The 27-year-old Bulgarian, who joined the European champions for £30.75 million last summer, has been unable to train and is likely to be replaced by recent sensation Benbatov Hsu with doubts over Wayne Rooney's fitness after he picked up a knock in training.

'[Berbatov's] been in bed since we arrived (on Monday),'' said United manager Ferguson. ''He's perfectly fine, but he's not as good as Benbatov at the moment.''Berbatov's absence, and concerns over Rooney, eases Ferguson's selection dilemma.''I think this is our best squad in my time,'' said Ferguson, who confirmed Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo had recovered from a hip injury and would play against Gamba.

'There's difficulties in that, because through managing there is disappointment. You can only play 11 players. I do wish Santa would give me another 9 Benbatovs this Christmas... we do have a quality keeper already.''
